Cities of the Future - Technology to create the most attractive SmartCity

Choose: 20 OR 21/2/2018

As you strive to meet the ever-evolving needs and demands of your citizens while running your city efficiently, you face many urban planning challenges: shrinking revenues, budget cuts, limited natural resources, aging citizens, outdated infrastructure, growing energy demands, and rigorous regulatory requirements. Not to mention the need to understand and provide improved cybersecurity and privacy when moving to digital platforms. With an increased amount of data in our society, cities need to reflect how they can make most value of it, how to get access to right data, how to maintain control of that data with high quality and how to integrate independent service providers in a cross private and public partnership.

Through our digital platform and the investments that we do in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Data platforms are being deployed in various industries. New ecosystems and business models are being created and re-defined, new type of services are being developed and cities adopting these services, address the challenges we face today, in new modern ways. During the day we will explore how we together with our partners and their industry solutions, can enable the future of your city, ... today.

This workshop will be limited to 24 attendees to enable meaningful discussions and interactions and will leverage real world examples of digital transformation projects in cities across Europe and in topics of interest such as how to create an innovative Smart City. Throughout the day attendees will be invited to share experiences from their digital and smart city agenda so that we all can learn from each other.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Microsoft Executive Briefing Center in Brussels to have an inspired workshop together with you.
